Recognizing the risk of landmines and UXOs influence, taken Comprehensive Mine Action Initiative and established the Unity Demining Solutions Organization (NGO) a civilian demining Organization. UDS has registered and accorded legal personality with Registry Number 7299 on June 28, 2024, as a Legal Organization in accordance with the Civil Society Organizations Proclamations Number 1113/2019 and was Certified.

The organization has a diverse employee from military and civilian background. The Organization board members who are the founders as well as are senior General Officers who served their country for the last thirty years assuming different capacities in the National Defense.

The idea to form this organization was supported by the National Defense and it has become a reality now to embark on the business, having secured the License according to the rule of the land. Owing to the organization good relationship with regional government regulatory bodies and support from the Ministry of Defense, availability of highly trained team is not a problem to use the available technology and the methodology to detect and safely remove land mines and unexploded ordinance.

Education is a cornerstone of our approach. We work closely with local communities to provide comprehensive mine risk education, raising awareness about the dangers of landmines and teaching people how to stay safe.

Organizational Structure

Objectives

Safely and efficiently clear all known landmines and unexploded ordinance from designated areas.
Provide Comprehensive explosives and ordnance risk education, develop and distribute educational materials that raise awareness to all communities affected by landmines aiming to reduce landmine-related accidents.
Integrate gender considerations into mine action, train and empower inclusively local male and female demining team, enhancing their skills and capabilities to ensure the equitable access, participation, and self-sustaining demining operations.
Foster partnerships with local, national, and international organizations to share knowledge, resources, and best practices.

Innovate the way, to transform how organizations clear mines, educate communities, and support victims, and embrace technological advancements, data-driven strategies, and environmentally sustainable practices, to the mine action sector to improve safety, efficiency, and inclusivity.
Consider the environment to minimize the ecological impact of operations while ensuring safe and sustainable land use after clearance and incorporate environmental best practices into mine action to ensure long-term benefits for both communities and the natural world.
Include intentional diversity of individuals from various genders, ethnicities, socio-economic backgrounds, cultures, ages, and abilities in all aspects of mine action activities, and promote diversity to enhances operational effectiveness, to foster equity, and to ensures the needs of all affected populations are met.
